Life: I'm unhappy with blog world

It's been awhile things have been ridiculously busy this semester. I know, college kids whining about school what a bitch, right?

Well, I'm going to take my moment in blogging to whine.

I started as editor for Westminster's student paper and it takes a lot more work than I anticipated. Kids are kids are kids umm...there's a lot of hand holding going on and I'm having a hard time learning how to deal with people. My non-people skills have so been past tested in this position. Luckily, the reporters are patient and nice so even though I keep making mistakes I'm forgiven.

I'm also getting really close to the premiere of the film "On the Other Side." It's a short, suspense film I helped write and produce. The premiere planning is more difficult than I thought. I'm really struggling with Utah liquor law, Westminster College policies (or the lack thereof) and working with people. I'm pretty sure I'm completely lacking in people skills so they are again being tested to their very limited limits. I'm so glad I only thought about being a wedding planner for like a day. (I still get to plan your wedding Ava.)

Thursday, September 24 around 7 p.m. anyone who's in the Salty City should swing by the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts at Westminster College on 1840 South 1300 East. We'll start the night off with a reception, followed by a screening of three other short films Reel Griffins have made then it's the PREMIERE. I hope you can make it. It will be a lot of fun.


Also I started working again. So I'm getting paid regularly. Yay! But these means 18 hours a week of my life are committed to someone else's schedule. At the time, it didn't seem like much, but fitting that in between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. when most my classes are is a little tricky.

Finally there is school itself. Umm...so homework is supposed to happen outside the classroom. Yeah, that's so not happening these days.

Ah well. I'll get back to food as soon as I figure out a better time plan.
